1. What is niacinamide?

It is the active form of vitamin B3 and is also known as nicotinamide.

2. What kind of ingredients is it?

Active ingredient , usually used at concentrations of 2-4%, at these concentrations it is already effective. It is a multifunctional ingredient and is found in various cosmetics, creams, serums, ampoules, masks, primer... although ideally any moisturizing cream should contain it.

Can vitamin C be used with niacinamide in the same product?

  • They can be used together , if the same cosmetic includes them, possible irritations are avoided.

Can you use a product with vitamin C and then another with niacinamide?

  • If you have sensitive skin, it is best not to use them in the same routine. That is, one day one and another day another. Or one in the morning and one at night.
  • If you do not have sensitive skin and tolerate it well, you should wait at least 20 minutes between applying vitamin C and niacinamide. Or apply one in the morning and another at night.

7. Recommendations:

So that niacinamide does not sting or sting, it is important that it is of high purity (that it is well purified). That is, it does not contain traces of niacin or nicotinic acid. Niacinamide must appear in the INCI but you will not know 100% if it is well purified. Therefore, we recommend that you choose cosmetics with a concentration of 2-4%.
