We've tried: Harmony Bloom Oil by Wild Beauty Apothecary
We have not only tried this product, we have enjoyed it. Harmony Bloom Oil is one of those types of products that you didn't know you were waiting for and that when you try it you think that it was exactly what your skin needed and that it will be difficult for you to want to go back to previous treatments or even try new ones. At theCosmethics we concentrate dozens of them, but there are others that still stand out, and you recognize them the moment you try them. It doesn't matter that Wild Beauty Apothecary has just arrived, it doesn't matter that it is not accompanied by a well-known brand or an extensive marketing campaign; The key to our work is knowing how to recognize the exceptional, without any measuring tools other than those offered by our experience, our sensations and the results we experience after having tried thousands of cosmetic formulations.

◊ Ingredient from organic farming.
∆ Ethically harvested ingredient. All essential oils come from wild (wild-growing) plants; Specifically, in the case of the lavender oil used by Wild Beauty Apothecary, it grows wild in the heart of Provence, and this makes it a lavender of supreme quality.
* Natural ingredient from organic essential oil.
A combination of natural oils, most from sustainable agriculture. No fragrances, no excipients that alter the purity of the oils.
When Yelena - founder of Wild Beauty Apothecary - formulated this oil she had a real problem to solve: her own skin. Those of us who have suffered episodes of acne perfectly understand the meaning of this phrase: oily, but dehydrated, sensitive, very sensitive, and easily altered skin.
Yelena has searched in her combination of oils:
- An antibacterial effect to stop acne through jojoba oil and anti-inflammatory using hemp oil, blackcurrant seed oil and sea buckthorn extract.
- Soothe the skin with safflower oil and evening primrose oil.
- Balance , with geranium oil and jojoba oil
- Restore hydration , with safflower oil, evening primrose oil and hemp oil.
- Heal and regenerate skin damage , with rosehip and evening primrose oil as well as sea buckthorn extract or cranberry seed oil.
And this is only part of the formula, you can see that it includes many more that contribute to enhancing these effects and are also full of vitamins and natural antioxidants.
What are your results?
The calming results on sensitive skin (not allergic to any of its components) are immediate. You only need one day to appreciate your 'calmer' skin. If your skin is dehydrated, you will need 3 or 4 more days to see that your dermis is recovering that juiciness and flexibility that we call glow. To notice a regulating effect on the secretion of sebum production, you will need more days, it is something that requires more time and perseverance. But don't worry, the feeling is so significantly pleasant from the first application that you won't be 'waiting for the product to work'. You will enjoy its benefits from the first moment .
Indications
From Wild Beauty Apothecary they tell us to use 3 to 5 drops for the face, neck and décolleté after your cleansing, with their mask or with a soothing and healing cleanser that does not dehydrate your skin excessively.
If you are not going to apply it to the neckline, only to the face and neck, we believe that 2-3 drops is enough. The results improve greatly if you apply the oil:
- On skin previously moistened with a good rose hydrosol
- If you heat the oil by rubbing it on your fingertips beforehand.
- If you apply it gently and with pressure.
Sensoriality
The intensity of the aromas reveals the purity of the ingredients, the aroma is very reminiscent of Rosehip but there are vegetal, fruity and even a little exotic touches. The texture is an oil that penetrates quickly and does not have a dense or heavy texture . I think we must insist, equally, that the suitability of these products is not a high sensoriality but rather attention to effectiveness. We prefer pure, unadulterated aromas that assure us that the product will not negatively affect our skin due to the perfume/fragrance content.
Presentation
Harmony Bloom Oil can be purchased in a square and elegant glass bottle, as good oils should be preserved; here, however, we must put a small negative note. Although transparent glass is revealing to see its color and aesthetically very attractive, I am sure that a glass with more opacity (blue, violet, amber, green, etc. would better preserve the properties of the oil throughout its useful life, protecting it better from the sun).
It is very notable that Wild Beauty Apothecary makes great efforts to control every small detail of its products, and this includes cotton-based packaging, avoiding the use of paper in its boxes as much as possible, as well as environmentally responsible inks. All Wild Beauty Apothecary boxes are made with cotton from the fashion industry. The labels are the result of recycling and reusing agricultural waste.
Opinion
It is very difficult to find on the market an oil as complete and specific for skin as complex as the ones Yelena has sought to treat. In fact, we had never tried anything like it, we had not known any product that did not need support, other treatments that complemented it to meet all the needs of a very complicated skin type. You should definitely try this oil if:
- You have adult acne or skin with a tendency to generate comedones – yes, it is an oil, and yes it is for oily skin.
- You have very dehydrated skin and you cannot apply any product that restores hydration without generating excessive oil during the day.
- You have super sensitive skin (this has a lot to do with your skin being very dehydrated, the more dehydrated it is, the more sensitive it is) to any contact with the outside (or with the 'dehydrating' heating elements inside)
- You don't know if your skin is oily because there are days when you can't stand it but it dries out in the cold and wind (especially in Spring and Autumn or with sudden changes in temperature).
- If you have a combination of all of the above, as is my case.
