9 Small Changes to Feel Better
Spring is a good time to renew yourself; Both inside and out. It is a season in which many of us feel much more active than usual and we want to make the most of our time. Do more things and maintain a constant energy rhythm. And why fool ourselves... it is much easier than in winter... the days are longer and the weather changes considerably. Two very strong points for those who want to take advantage of each day until the penultimate minute.
I share with you “big little” changes to easily incorporate into your daily life and that I think can help you a lot:
Eat well
- Control sugar consumption . At this point I don't want to be annoying, there are enough studies that clearly indicate that its consumption is not positive and that we must do everything possible to reduce its consumption. Did you know that it is one of the ingredients that ages the most along with alcohol? Take note of my recipe for bars with cherries and apricots and you'll see how you won't miss conventional snacks again.
- Alcohol: the arrival of good weather often makes social and terrace life more common, control alcohol consumption. Do you know exactly what alcohol can do to your skin?
- Reduce/eliminate processed/canned foods : plan your diet and take advantage of eating outdoors. Prepare cold creams/soups, at this time of year. And if salads are your thing, this one is delicious, it's with zucchini and peas and you can take it in a tupperware.
- Incorporate into your meals : green leafy vegetables, brown rice, boiled eggs...
The key is to plan your meal well in advance to eat varied and healthy.
Drinks a lot
Have you ever tried starting your day with hot water and lemon? Or with grated ginger? Although both options have a very intense flavor (especially at those times of day) it is a fantastic natural remedy to eliminate impurities and drain.
Incorporate infusions with aromatic herbs throughout the day: water is fantastic for the skin and remember that green tea contains many antioxidants and helps calm skin redness and inflammation.
Also exfoliate with a brush
Spice up your life
Add aromatic and antimicrobial herbs and spices (such as thyme, sage, oregano, rosemary, ginger, cinnamon, cumin, coriander, and turmeric) to your food to stimulate the flow of digestive enzymes. Do you want to know how to make a smoothie with turmeric?
Incorporate a daily self-massage into your routine
Exercise every day, at least 20 minutes. If every day
Laugh a lot more and let go of the negative approach
Try to control negative thoughts and manage your emotions to also be able to see the good in everything. A positive mind with a positive approach makes you a happier person.
Did you know that feel-good neurotransmitters (dopamine, endorphins, and serotonin) are released when a smile flashes across your face?
More order
At home, in the agenda, in your notebooks... Anywhere there is life and you are present, try to keep it organized so that you don't waste time looking for things, or duplicating tasks. It's about organizing yourself well enough to optimize time/space and always (or almost always) being comfortable . If you want to make changes... GO FORWARD! But first plan and always think about changes that will make you happier.
Meditate
I say meditate because it is easier to understand; but my advice is that you don't forget to practice relaxation every day. Slow down, breathe, be aware of what is happening at every moment and take stock every night . Have you tried a gratitude notebook? Before setting the alarm, write down in a notebook the 3 “things” for which you feel happy/grateful (that happened that day).
