What is it?

Amyloxate or also known by its technical name isoamyl p-methoxycinnamate is an organic compound that absorbs ultraviolet (UV) light, which is an important cause of premature skin aging and the development of melanoma and other forms of skin cancer. .  

This chemical can be identified by other names such as: 4-Methoxycinnamic acid, isoamyl ester, AI3-05552, Amiloxate, Isopentyl p-methoxycinnamate, Neo Heliopan E10.

How does it work?

The main characteristics of this ingredient are that it serves to protect the product from deterioration by absorbing, reflecting or scattering UV light. In fact, when it comes to sunscreens, it is combined with other ingredients that absorb UVA rays since it cannot provide enough protection on its own.
