Although we have consumed these types of products for centuries, the rise of the food industry made it almost impossible in a few years to acquire a product on the market that was completely natural and without additives.

Today the production and sale of BIO and organic foods is increasing, the result of greater social awareness about the risks of certain products in the food chain.

There is no point in applying the best natural and ecological cosmetics if our diet is full of preservatives, dyes, bactericides and other chemicals that damage our body from within.
When we shop, we often pass through our hands some food with the “BIO” or “Organic” label, without us taking it into account or knowing what the real difference is between consuming this or its conventional counterpart.

  • Without GMOs: In organic farming, the use of genetically modified or transgenic organisms is not authorized. Their use represents a problem for biodiversity and can also entail risks for our health. BIO foods are assured that they are not genetically modified, something that many products on the market cannot guarantee.

  • They improve your diet: Changing our habits when putting together the shopping basket will also mean a change in our way of eating. Organic foods do not usually undergo complex processing, refining or other treatments, so it will mean feeding us more with quality raw materials. You will also eliminate junk food from your diet and with it the excess of simple sugars, additives or trans fats that make it up. Of course, it's time to start cooking!

  • Maximum quality: The cultivation, processing and sale processes in organic production are closely monitored and must meet demanding traceability standards. This guarantees a quality final product and great transparency for the consumer.

  • Drug-free: Many foods of animal origin are contaminated by the medications they received in life. The presence, above all, of antibiotics in meat and dairy products is a fact that is of increasing concern, as it is an important public health problem and, furthermore, a factor that the consumer cannot control, since they are completely unaware of whether the animals received any type of antibiotics. of treatment. In organic farming the use of antibiotics is prohibited and, except in very specific cases, veterinary treatments are natural and/or homeopathic.

  • Fresh and seasonal: BIO products only use natural preserving methods and fruits and vegetables cannot be treated externally to prolong their conservation. This makes the products we consume fresher and, in the latter case, always in season. That's why they are also richer and healthier.

  • Solidarity with the environment and the local economy: Organic production works outside conventional trade rules and, therefore, represents a social and environmental revolution. The production methods are respectful of the environment, since they are not polluting and favor the maintenance of biodiversity. Furthermore, when you buy organic you are benefiting small producers, often local, and avoiding the unnecessary expense of transporting large quantities of merchandise. Although it may not seem like it, this is a point that also benefits our health, since a healthy environment also favors a healthy body and mind.
